Our Process

HAUS were involved from the setting-up phase at Mapleton Crescent. This involved an extensive budget setting process and working alongside the project management as they sought our advice on certain features regarding security and access control.

Together with the marketing department we helped compile an extensive ‘move-in manual’ for new owners.

We worked closely with the main contractor to fully understand the building and the advanced Building Management System. We were then able to undertake familiarisation tours with new owners as they moved in.

The building has a communal heating system with heat meters in each flat. We ensured that new occupants were aware of the billing process and our preferred billing supplier were on hand to answer any questions regarding billing.

We organised testing of all heat interface units and meters to ensure accurate billing from the start as experience told us that these are often overlooked during the moving phase leading to issues further down the line.

We were also able to help with a significant lift fault (a serious issue in such a tall property). To resolve the situation, we attended meetings with Pocket Living and the lift contractor, who eventually replaced defective circuit boards.

We then negotiated a 10-year maintenance agreement that covered costs for all callouts and parts, saving residents a significant sum of money.

We were able to resolve an issue of theft from the bike stores by appointing one of our preferred security specialists to review security. The new magnetic locks they installed reduced the number of thefts from 10 to 0.
